Long-Distance Senior Placement Coordination in Texas

Managing a parent’s care from another state is one of the most stressful situations a family faces. I serve as your on-the-ground Texas expert when you can’t be here.

Adult children who live outside Texas — in California, New York, Colorado, Florida, or anywhere else — and have an aging parent in Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio. You can’t be there for every tour. You can’t drive by every facility. You’re managing this by phone, video call, and occasional visits — and you need a Texas expert you can trust to tell you the truth about what you’re considering. That’s the role I fill for long-distance families.

📱

Virtual-First Process

I conduct intake by video call, provide detailed written facility assessments, facilitate video tours or FaceTime walkthroughs, and keep you informed in real time — all without requiring you to be in Texas.

Eyes and Ears on the Ground

I visit facilities in person, observe staff-resident interactions, and assess what the website photos don’t show. Long-distance families get the honest assessment that only an on-the-ground visit produces.

Post-Placement Monitoring

After placement, I remain your local contact — available to visit the facility, raise concerns with staff, and flag issues before they become crises. You have a trusted Texas advocate even when you’re 1,500 miles away.

How It Works

1

Video intake call

We start with a video call — you tell me about your parent’s needs, current situation, and your concerns from a distance. I gather the information I need to begin my research.

2

Facility research and in-person assessment

I research appropriate facilities, visit or verify in person, and provide you with a written assessment of each option I’m recommending — including honest observations about staff culture and physical condition.

3

Virtual or assisted touring

I arrange facility tours with video (FaceTime, Zoom) so you can participate from wherever you are. I accompany the local family member if there is one, or I conduct the initial assessment independently if you have no local representation.

4

Move-in coordination from a distance

I manage the move-in logistics, working with your parent, local helpers, and the facility admissions team. You receive updates throughout. I’m there at move-in if needed.
