I am Erika Crossley. Houston, Texas. Senior living is my trade, caregiving is my life, and the AI in my practice is something I built with my own hands.
Okay, so let me tell you how this actually went. I spent my career helping Houston families find the right care for a parent. I founded A Perfect Fit Senior Living Experts to do that work, and I still do it every week. At the same time I am a caregiver to my own parents and grandparents, so when a family calls me at 9 PM, I know exactly what that call feels like from their side of the phone.
The part nobody expected
Everybody kept saying AI was coming for jobs like mine. Here is the thing: I did not wait to find out. I learned the infrastructure and I built the helpers myself, for my own practice first. Today they read the comments on my Facebook page, answer families in my voice, follow up with the family who went quiet, and hand me one report every morning at 7 AM. Nothing goes out without my yes, and resident health information never goes in.
So I am the woman AI did not replace. I merged it into my work and my life, and I kept the human part, the tour, the hand on the shoulder, the hard conversation, for myself.
What I do now
I help families. Hospital discharge, assisted living, memory care, residential care homes, skilled nursing, caregiver crisis. Houston first, all of Texas after that. It costs the family nothing; the home pays me at move-in. Call or text 346-546-5654.
